Dante\u2019s concrete filled Volvo contained a <strong>DD Audio 9918Z 18\u2033 subwoofer receiving 26,000 watts of power from four Stetsom 7KD amplifiers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Your most likely sitting there wondering how loud is 180 dB is? Well to put into some sort of perspective it is possible to lose ones hearing around the 120 dB mark, a chainsaw is around 110 dB and a jet engine at a distance of 30m is 150dB\u2026 So imagine standing inside a thunder cloud as it goes off!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hifihq.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/dB-Drag-Rac.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-50 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/hifihq.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/dB-Drag-Rac-300x263.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"263\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hifihq.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/dB-Drag-Rac-300x263.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hifihq.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/dB-Drag-Rac.jpg 460w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To power all that action Dante used 15 Powermaster 16 volt batteries and a Flux Capacitor. We can\u2019t even begin to imagine how loud 180.5dB is\u2026but it\u2019s probably like having a bomb blow up right next to you.
