It\u2019s not very often I get to write about something turning twenty, let alone a company that started from the humble beginnings of one man\u2019s idea of turning his job\/passion of car audio in a life long career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being ABTEC\u2019s<\/strong> twentieth year in business I thought it was such a great milestone for not only Ashley \u2018MAD BASS\u2019 Burrell<\/strong> but for ABTEC<\/strong> as a whole so I just had to write something in celebration!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since Ashley<\/strong> wouldn\u2019t let me use a real photo of him and Darryl<\/strong> I borrowed the one below and \u2018adjusted it a touch\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Ashley<\/strong> started ABTEC<\/strong> in NZ<\/strong> he was only twenty seven years old already with eleven years behind him in the car audio & alarm industry. Ashley\u2019s younger brother Darryl<\/strong> was the first on board the ABTEC<\/strong> train and has been a major involvement in ABTEC<\/strong> ever since, doing a large majority of the installs while running the workshop in Lower Hutt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note the ABTEC<\/strong> Brothers below standing next to the third ABTEC<\/strong> company vehicle ever, a NEW<\/strong> (At the time) Toyota Corolla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How things have changed in the last twenty years! Not only has the technology in car audio changed significantly but so has ABTEC<\/strong> as a company as well, with everything from the people over the years to the types of products and services provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are only two things that haven\u2019t changed over the years and that is Ashley\u2019s passion for music and providing the best quality of service that is humanly possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note below our \u2018SOUNDS ALIVE\u2019<\/strong> motto, the meaning behind this which is a reference to having your car audio come alive or sound alive as Ashley<\/strong> has put it. I personally love the \u2018SOUNDS ALIVE\u2019<\/strong> motto because when I listen to music in the car I like to have that rock concert\u00a0experience or feel the music, and if you have sat in my car while I listen to my music\u00a0you would know about what I mean about feeling the music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the future approaches us so does many challenges, with these challenges comes new opportunities, with new opportunities comes growth. And on the note of growth ABTEC<\/strong> has now got to the point of establishing itself at its NEW & IMPROVED<\/strong> premises in Petone<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And what a time to be doing so too on our\u00a0twentieth birthday!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
