Soon after arriving I found myself having a\u00a0conversation with our MD about setting up the 10\u2019s again with no change of gear as I was convinced it has a good <strong>150db<\/strong> in this setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hifihq.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/0011.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"448\" src=\"https:\/\/hifihq.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/0011.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-85\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hifihq.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/0011.jpg 600w, https:\/\/hifihq.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/0011-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After a good half an hour of putting all the same gear back in from the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/hifihq.com.au\/blog\/sony-10%E2%80%B3-subwoofers-pull-149-9db\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">149.9db<\/a><\/strong> run we did at the <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.carshows.co.nz\/gallery\/207\/17\" target=\"_blank\">V 4 &amp; Rotary North Island Jamboree<\/a><\/strong> it was about time to start going through the settings of not only the head unit and amp but also the placement of the box in the car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this being a vital part of the setup I took my time re-configuring it and soon enough after a few low volume sweeps found the\u00a0optimal\u00a0frequency, at this point we were all ready for a burp so on went the head-phones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hifihq.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/0021.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"448\" src=\"https:\/\/hifihq.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/0021.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-87\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hifihq.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/0021.jpg 600w, https:\/\/hifihq.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/0021-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And what do you know, a <strong>150db<\/strong> flat on the first burp which is an awesome result for entry level 10\u2033s but I want to at least get a touch higher than that! So a slight adjustment and BOOM <strong>150.1db!<\/strong> Just to make sure it wasn\u2019t a one off thing we did another four or so burps netting the same result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hifihq.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/0031.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"448\" src=\"https:\/\/hifihq.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/0031.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-88\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hifihq.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/0031.jpg 600w, https:\/\/hifihq.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/0031-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I know a lot of people will be saying this isn\u2019t an&nbsp;official result since it wasn\u2019t at an event but we had two <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dbdrag.co.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dB Drag Racing<\/a><\/strong> Officials there and the Head Judge which must count for something.
