Ashley \u2018MAD BASS\u2019 Burrell<\/strong> has now been supporting ManZone<\/strong> at North City Shopping Centre, Porirua<\/strong> now for six years. This year was a touch different though with ABTEC1<\/strong> having its audio set-up completely changed, a set of 20\u2033 rims added to it and also was my first year at ManZone<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before I carry on about the weekend spent at ManZone North City<\/strong> I\u2019m going to give a brief description of the changes to ABTEC1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first change was the wheel\u2019s, I had briefly waved the idea of changing the wheels to Ashley<\/strong> about a month ago explaining how a change of wheel\u2019s can make or break a vehicle in the looks division. The funny thing is that I only mentioned it as an idea we could do for ABTEC1<\/strong> in the future not knowing that only a week later Ashley<\/strong> would be sourcing the biggest and widest wheel\u2019s he could put on it legally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final change to ABTEC1<\/strong> would be adding a few items to the car audio. So out came the tweeter\u2019s and 4\u2033 mids in the front doors, in went a pair of DD-VO-B1 bullet tweeters<\/strong> and also a pair of DD-VO-M8 mid-range speakers<\/strong>. Not only do they look very cool and aggressive on the front doors but also solve the problem I was having when the volume went up the bass over-powered the front speakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To complete the change to the audio system Ashley<\/strong> got another box made up for the DD-Z12<\/strong> replacing the four DD-512<\/strong>\u2018s we had in the back of ABTEC1<\/strong>, making the back of ABTEC1<\/strong> with door open look like there is some sort of\u00a0Gatling-Gun\u00a0in there. I must say the sound quality<\/strong> in ABTEC1<\/strong> is just mind-blowing now, with beautiful low bass with a lot of\u00a0presence\u00a0to the crisp clean treble and mids and it just sounds so clean even at high volumes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being my first ManZone<\/strong> event I didn\u2019t know what to expect and the fact I had to drive ABTEC1<\/strong> through the North City ShoppingCentre<\/strong>\u00a0did make me a little excited, I kept have flashes of high speed chases through malls from movies but luckily for the pedestrians this wasn\u2019t the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I must say it was a very cool weekend with a lot of nice car\u2019s ranging from the few imports, to the large array of muscle cars that filled the second level car park. Even though the car\u2019s in the car park were all stunning my favourite car of the weekend was parked in the mall. I know what your thinking here \u201chere comes another ABTEC1<\/strong> plug\u201d but the truth is as much as I love driving around in a Truck full of DD Audio<\/strong> Audio my favourite was still the 911 GT3 RS<\/strong> that I could only dream of owning!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall it was a very enjoyable weekend for myself and Ashley<\/strong> looked like he was having a ball talking peoples ears off too! I like to thank all the customers and friends for dropping by and giving there support, Hauraki Man<\/strong> for being a good sport and letting us take heaps of photos of him. Lauren<\/strong> for bringing me my other pair of shoes & coffee, Michael<\/strong> for taking heaps of quality photos, Johnny<\/strong> for turning up and giving me a good laugh, Ashley<\/strong> for allowing me to drive through the mall & giving me much needed breaks to get fresh air!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of all I\u2019d like to thank The North City Shopping Centre<\/strong> & ManZone<\/strong> for allowing us to park ABTEC1<\/strong> in the mall while playing Dubstep the whole time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We all enjoyed the weekend no matter how tired we all were on Monday and are looking forward to next year too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
