Power, flexibility and an excellent price/performance ratio are the cornerstones of the new headphone amplifier design that has been developed by our Oehlbach engineers. The Oehlbach XXL DAC-Ultra is perfectly suitable for all headphones, from compact over-the-ear designs to sophisticated high-end magnetostats. Two 6.3 mm jack outputs ensure a stable and clean transmission of the audio signal (with support for simultaneous playback), while analogue RCA outputs are also available for transmitting the signal. A highlight of the XXL DAC-Ultra is the combination of the asynchronous USB input and the extremely high quality Burr Brown DACs, which ensure a clean conversion of the digital audio signal into an analogue signal inside the unit. The sampling rate and sampling depth of 384 kHz/32 bit guarantee maximum precision and accuracy during playback via USB. Besides USB connectivity, the headphone amplifier is also equipped with an optical and coaxial digital connection as well as analogue RCA inputs. In order to prevent any complications from occurring during signal transmission, all of the contacts are 24 carat gold-plated and are of an extremely high quality. The amplifier measures 155 mm x 200 mm x 50 mm (WxDxH) and the solid device weighs in at just over 1 kg with its brushed front panel.
