ATOLL Electronique launches new Evolution 400 series flagship models

Park Ridge, IL | September 25, 2025 – ATOLL Electronique, the high-end audio electronics manufacturer from France, has unveiled a new Evolution 400 (400 Series EVO) range of products, updating the company’s previous 400 Signature series. The three newly-released 400 Series EVO components boast numerous improvements, taking performance to the next level with enhancements across all models while continuing ATOLL’s commitment to delivering an exceptional price-to-performance ratio. All ATOLL products are hand-crafted in France using premium components and feature a discrete symmetrical architecture throughout.
The flagship ATOLL Evolution 400 range is comprised of the 5 new EVO models: the IN400 EVO integrated amplifier, the PR400 EVO preamp, the AM400 EVO power amplifier, the CD400 EVO top loading CD Player, and the DR400EVO top-loading CD transport.
Mechanically, the 400 Series EVO models’ chassis are each crafted of 2 mm steel, complimented by 10 mm thick, brushed, micro-blasted, and anodized aluminum front faceplates adorned with high-precision engraving. The side heatsinks are machined from solid aluminum blocks and serve to absorb mechanical vibrations while ensuring perfect heat dissipation. As part of the update from the previous ATOLL 400 Signature model range, the new EVO models have been given a new squared-off design, moving away from the former sculpted aesthetic. This change ensures simpler integration with other audio equipment without compromising style or elegance.
Each new ATOLL EVO 400 series model is now shipping and is available in a choice of black or natural aluminum silver finish:

PR400 EVO ($6,600) is the latest generation ATOLL flagship true dual-mono preamplifier that boasts reworked power supplies and electronics to significantly improve audio performance. It features a true dual-mono (one low-noise linear transformer per channel) pure balanced architecture. The selection relays are also separate for the two channels. The high-grade MKP coupling capacitors are shielded in independent enclosures to avoid radiation issues. Volume is controlled by two independent and perfectly synchronized ALPS motorized potentiometers.

AM400 EVO ($6,600) is ATOLL’s flagship power amplifier, outputting 170W per channel into 8 ohms, 320W per channel into 4 ohms, and 600W in bridged mono mode. Incorporating four pairs pf MOSFET transistors per channel, the AM400 EVO’s discrete electronics have been redesigned to render the amplifier insensitive to capacitive loads. The high-quality MKP crossover capacitors are shielded, helping to preserve sound fidelity. The low series resistance filter capacitors are custom-made by a worldrenowned specialist, while the motherboard cables to the speaker outputs are pure, oxygen-free, silverplated copper with Teflon insulation. The tellurium copper speaker output plugs have been selected for their ability to transmit all the energy and micro-details of the electrical signal without alteration.

IN400 EVO ($7,000) is a highly-refined integrated amplifier dedicated to optimal musicality. Merging the technological updates implemented into the 400 EVO separates into an elegant, single chassis, the IN400 EVO is a true dual-mono design delivering 180W per channel into 8 ohms and 300W per channel into 4 ohms. Connectivity includes two XLR line level inputs, five RCA line level inputs, home-theater bypass, dual pre-outs, and a 12V trigger output.

DR400 EVO ($5,600) CD transport replaces the company’s former DR400 model, and features ATOLL’s latest top-loading mechanics, a solid aluminum platter, and an optimized anti-vibration system while incorporating a high-speed differential line drive for formatting S/PDIF and AES/EBU signals. The digital stages and power supplies have been optimally designed to deliver maximum realism and provide density to the audio reproduction.
CD400 EVO ($7,900) CD-player replaces the former CD400 model, and is also equipped with ATOLL’s updated top-loading mechanics. It features perfectly matched high-performance power supplies and audio stages, which combine to offer an immersive stereo image and striking sonic realism. Other highlights include a true dual-mono architecture, bi-polar Class A audio stages without feedback, dual Burr Brown PCM 1792 DACs (one per channel). The CD400 EVO includes both XLR analog and AES/EBU digital outputs, while the player can also serve as a high-end digital-to-analog converter thanks to its digital inputs (coaxial, optical and USB), each of which utilize internal conversion stages.
